LOTD Seemingly a Parrot – My Beauty Addiction & Shiro Cosmetics

Seriously now, I need to do my makeup more often than I do so I can come up with and share looks like this one. I have nowhere to be today, nowhere to go, nothing special planned. But I went ahead and got all gussied up… Well… Just because! I’m sitting here, hanging out in my super awesome (dripping with sarcasm) recliner looking at how bright and sunny it is outside today. Thing is, it’s quite breezy, and not as warm as it has been. I’m kind of bummed I’m in two layers of shirts- a cute tee and a long sleeved aqua colored thermal shirt. Warm. Comfy. Just my style.

But to illustrate how excited I am about my new, and mostly blonde, hair… I ventured outside and took the pictures! Yay! I succeeded in doing an FOTD/EOTD! And just for fun, I made some silly faces too. The lipstick I have on is really much more vibrant in person- the picture of my mouth is the most accurate… So yes, I’m wearing very bright colors! Sorry in some shots you can see the puffiness under my eyes… Pollen is high, and I didn’t get much sleep last night. Anywho- enjoy!

 

On my face:
Arran Aromatics Moisturizing Cream
Nyx Color Correctors in Lavender, Green and Yellow
Nyx Concealer in Porcelain
Meow Cosmetics Purr-fect Puss Foundation in Siamese- Inquisitive

On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Shiro Cosmetics Eye Shadows in:
Pikachu- inner 1/3 of top and bottom lid
Farore’s Wind- the rest of lid area
Bulbasaur- in crease, blended upwards, added more for depth and definition; under lower lashline
Mew- brow bone highlighter, blended out to almost nothing
Moosh- foiled and applied as liner to top lid, and on bottom lashes
Milk pencil used on lower waterline, Moosh applied dry over it
Wet ‘n Wild MegaPlump Mascara in Black on upper lashes

On my lips:
Random nude lip liner
Wet ‘n Wild MegaLast Lipstick in 901B
WnW Lipstick in 521A

Aaaand… A smile on my face completed the look.

So when my Mom and sister came home, and I greeted them with my bright eyes and lips, the first thing my Mom did was make a funny face… And when I asked her what was wrong… She said “You look like a parrot.”

Success!

      I’m psyched I got Pikachu’s sparks! When I first put it on, I was like.. Sweet yellow! Where the hell did all this red glitter come from?! LOL

        Yeees. I love the red glitter. Pikachu is one of the coolest yellows ever. :] I always feel like the camera never picks up on that either, so YAY. :D

          Totally!! I <3 Pikachu! Oh and speaking of him, my sister totally made ceramic mugs at college in her pottery class… I use him! Mom has Squirtle, and the one my sister drinks from I can’t remember his name- but I totally have to take pictures of them because they’re freaking ADORABLE!

    Heck yeah, nothing wrong with braces!! I had them for two years and they were so worth it in the end. Your eye makeup looks great! :-)

      Thanks Mandy! I don’t so much mind the braces, as the gap in my front teeth…. But everyone has front row viewing, since it’s currently being pulled down from it’s position of being stuck in the roof of my mouth… Not as painful as it sounds!
      End result- I’m gonna LOVE it and I say yes, it’s totally 100% worth it!!

        That was one of the first things we had to do when I got my braces, we had to pull down the canines in the top row of my teeth. I had a bit of a gap in my front two teeth, too, which they also wanted to take care of right off the bat.

        You know, when you actually sit down and thinks about braces, and think about these *wires* that are pulling your teeth into a certain position and straightening things, etc., it’s actually really fascinating. o_o

          It is fascinating!! And really odd- I never before could feel my back teeth touch on the left side of my mouth… And now both sides touch! It’s such a strange feeling! And because my right canine is now pulled down and sitting just behind and slightly off to the side of the little tooth up front, anytime I bite a cracker it hits both teeth and I get this random thought in my head… “Heh, I feel like a shark! Multiple rows of teeth!” LOL

          This is my second go-round with braces, and hopefully my last… And I can’t wait to see my teeth once we’re all done!!
