So folks, this is it! The end of the line for the Sins and Virtues looks! I’m feeling a bit sad- but it’s alright… Wendi and I have some particularly knockout looks coming up for you in our next installment of Thursday makeup collaboration goodness! And no, you’re going to have to wait a week to see what we have in store!!
Today I was supposed to be Pride. But, instead… I’m Humility. It was a minor mix up, but certainly glad it was! Because the look Makeup Zombie came up with was totally awesome! As for me, I keep wanting to say I’m “Humbility”. Don’t ask. Merds are getting wixed up in my head today.
Humility (adjectival form: humble) is the quality of being modest, reverential, even obsequiously submissive, and never being arrogant, contemptuous, rude or even self-aggrandizing. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions, being connected with notions of transcendent unity with the universe or the divine, and of egolessness.
The vices opposed to humility are: (A) pride (by reason or defect). (B) a too great obsequiousness or abjection of oneself; this would be considered an excess of humility, and could easily be derogatory to one’s office or holy character; or it might serve only to pamper pride in others, by unworthy flattery, which would occasion their sins of tyranny, arbitrariness, and arrogance. The virtue of humility may not be practiced in any external way that would occasion vices in others.
These eyes today go along with my new hair, especially since I mentioned I successfully bleached it last night. Now, don’t get too afraid. The pictures show it a bit more orange an brassy than it really is. It’s nothing a few washings, and some toner won’t fix. And I’ll be lifting more color to boot… So it’ll be fun. These hair journeys are something, huh?!

Yes, I know the only mineral product on my face was my foundation, eye primer, and lippie… I can’t give up *all* cosmetics! If I find something I like, I go with it. And I have a plan for this particular palette of colors- which is stunning! Yes, I’m mad at Nyx. I won’t be purchasing their products for some time yet, but what I do have I will use.
So tell me… Do you like my hair?
I think I’m going to lift the color until I’m a platinum blonde… What are your thoughts on that?
