Well well well… Nail fail today! I’ve been so busy catching up with some other things today, I forgot to give myself a manicure. But that’s ok… I’ll most likely have ‘em painted and posted tomorrow. In the meantime, I’ve been holding on to this look for about a week and a half. Why? I procrastinate!
Yes, I even procrastinate procrastinating. It’s quite a talent, if I do say so myself, and one that’s taken years to refine to such a fine level.
This was my first ever look using my Sugarpill eye shadows. It was a tough one really, to decide what colors to use first… They all really just make me stare strangely hypnotized into the jars of sparklies. Anywho- my Pirate was the one who suggested I do this look. We both love thunderstorms, and well… The weather forecast for that week (and also today) included some pretty good ones. Needless to say, today was a day I spent very quiet and still since the pressure changes really makes me quite uncomfortable- you know, the pesky back problem I don’t talk about here too often. I did, however, edit my photos finally! Spent all day listening to Nine Inch Nails happily doing my editing and other stuffs…
Purple and blue, that funny color the sky turns when a particularly bad storm comes rolling in. Bright blue and silver to represent lightning… Sparkling iridescence for the way raindrops light up on glass when the sky is lit by the electric barbs. I particularly like how in person (and in some of the pictures), Royal Sugar washes out my typically very blue eyes and makes them pale. Up close, it really sets off the ring of violet around my pupil which I think is absolutely nifty!
On my Face:
Gel to Powder Chafing Gel
Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream
Nyx Color Correctors in Green and Yellow
Nyx Concealer in Porcelain
Meow Cosmetics Purr-fect Puss Foundation in Siamese- Inquisitive
Fyrinnae Glow Blush in Evocative
e.l.f. Studio Matte Lipstick in Praline for the first photo, Natural for the rest
On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction’s Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy
Sugarpill Cosmetics:
Royal Sugar on lid only
Lumi on brow bone, and inner corner of eyes
Scaredy Cat Cosmetics:
Snowbird on inner 1/3 of crease
Tudor on outer 2/3 of crease, blended into Lumi; also applied to lower lash line
Antoinette’s Revolution Cosmetics:
Powdered Wigs on browbone as base (Lumi was applied over it)
La Fontaine applied to waterline after they were lined with black; applied to inner 1/3 of lower lash line
Physicians Formula Eye Marker Pen in Black
Wet ‘n Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black used on waterlines
Wet ‘n Wild MegaPlump Mascara in Black
So there it is… A stormy look, for a stormy day. Don’t be mistaken- it almost looks like in the photos the shadows nearly “crease”- but it’s the reflection of my light on my lids. They didn’t crease at all, and I had this on for 10+ hours. I’d say that’s pretty fantastic!
What do you think?
