It’s now officially Autumn! Yay!
It’s my favorite time of the year- crisp apples, pumpkins, pies… Cider donuts, hay rides and corn mazes! And the best Holiday ever… All Hallow’s Eve! Of course, I can’t walk so well… So for now my days of Trick-or-Treating are semi-retired. At least, I figure, until Pirate and I have kidlets. Since that’s a ways off, I guess I have to resign myself to the fact that I won’t be collecting free candy going from door to door anytime soon. Figures, right?!
To answer your question- YES. I’ve always Trick-or-Treated. Up until last year, I was out getting free loot, always getting complimented on my makeup and costume ideas. Never an inquiry as to how old I was, or if I seemed too old to be venturing in the night with the children dressed as goblins, ghosts, Dracula and mummies. I was plenty ok with it, considering I’d hide my loot and then make my way out to the bars with my friends. Ah, but those times have passed. I’m still going to decorate a lot though! I love anything Halloween… Well, except tacky cheesy decorations. Unless it’s a party… AH anyways… Here’s my look for today using the ultra-glamorous Sugarpill Cosmetics. Yep… I’m a sucker for color, as you well know!
To achieve this dusty-leaf inspired look, I blended… Blended… Blended!
It’s important in creating the color gradient, as well as the dusky tones which are shown here. Again- my apologies if the color is off in the pictures. I’m on a PC, and for all I know I look like a yellow oompa-loompa or something. In person, my eyes are bright enough to knock your socks off… Especially since Goldilux shimmers and sparkles just like gold with a dusting diamonds. Very, very luxurious indeed!
My face has the regular concoction of Stila Petal Infusions Moisturizer, Anti-Chafe gel as primer, Nyx Color Correctors, Meow Cosmetics Purr-Fect Puss Foundation in Siamese Inquisitive, and Fyrinnae’s Glow Blush in Enrapture.
On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction’s Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk on upper and lower lids
Sugarpill colors:
Goldilux
Asylum
Lumi
N.Y.C. Liquid Liner in Black on upper lids
Wet ‘n Wild MegaPlump Mascara in Black
Salon Perfect false lashes in style 110 attached with Lash Duo Glue
Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy on Lips
Asylum worn as lipstick
To create the bronzed-red shadow, I applied Goldilux and Asylum on each half of my lids. Using a blending brush, I wiped the colors together to create a gradient, adding a bit more of each color until I was happy with the end result. Applying Asylum to the crease, I blended it out until I was left with a rusty-red smoked out fade into Lumi on my brow bone. I added a touch more Asylum to my crease and the outer corner of my eye to brighten up the color, and added Goldilux to the inner corner to do the same.
So yeah… I’m lovin this look… How bout you?
Do you have any Sugarpill colors? What are your favorites?
Geez, I can’t wait to get my paws on the palettes! SOON those pretties will belong to meeeeee!
