Character Looks : Quorra from TRON Legacy

I figured not only would I do a look to post, since I’ve been severely lagging lately… But I also wanted to go for a hairstyle and color change. Don’t get me wrong- I love my blonde hair. But… I wanted to do something drastic. I think this will do, right?

I was quite disappointed at the beginning of this week, considering Halloween was canceled due to the pretty cruddy Nor’ Easter we ended up having during the weekend- leaving thousands of people without power. We were one of them, but we got power back after a day. The holiday, itself wasn’t canceled, per-se, but Trick-or-Treating was. I had grand plans to get all dolled up, rock an awesome costume, and pass out candy for the first year ever… Instead of going door to door gathering my own free loot. Perhaps later… But it didn’t happen this year, and I can’t walk around. The good news is that the Trick-or-Treaters will be coming out this Sunday!! So I get to pass out candy (hopefully with a friend of mine!!) to the little ghosts, goblins, witches and vampires. I’m excited to see what kids wear what costumes.

Anywho- I’ve been thinking long and hard about how I dress how I like, when I like. All Hallows Eve is my favorite Holiday. Christmas is second, and my Birthday is third. I’ve decided I’ll be making Halloween looks year-round. Yep, you read that right. I’ll create some creepy, cool, sweet, and everything-in-between looks throughout the year and not just limit them to October 31st. Oh, and before my Mom has a heart-attack- my hair really isn’t like this. It’s a $2 wig I found at a consignment shop. Yay for thrifting! A good wash, low heat flat iron and a comb later… It’s just as good as new!

My inspiration for this look is Quorra from TRON.
I tried to watch the first movie- which truthfully has a pretty interesting plot and really caught my attention. However, the “state-of-the-art” graphic special effects back then only led me to quickly develop a splitting headache… So I only have read the plot of that one. I cannot watch it. However, Legacy was a freaking awesome movie!! I was glued to the TV watching it… And I just may end up popping it in after I’m done posting this tonight. Ha ha ha! I did this on a whim, and I suppose I’ll also try and create a Gem look since her makeup was completely kick ass too.

On my Face:
Stila Petal Infusions Moisturizing Lotion
Monistat Anti-Chafe Gel-to-Powder lotion
Nyx Color Correctors and Concealer
Meow Cosmetics Purr-Fect Puss Foundation in Siamese- Inquisitive
Ella Rose Minerals Translucent Finishing Powder

On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
e.l.f. Studio Gel Eyeliner in Black
Moi Minerals Eye Shadows:
Shimmers & Pearls on lid to brow
Wicked applied over Gel Liner and slightly smudged
Bunny Slippers mixed with Clear Gloss to make those Pink Lips
Wet ‘n Wild MegaPlump Mascara
FreshLook Radiance Contacts in Moonlight (Silvery Reflective Sheen)

If you want to see a tutorial on how I created this, leave me a comment below. It’s really simple to create… Black liner smudged, a dark shadow to set it, a white shimmery shadow, lots of mascara, pretty pink lips, and pale foundation. Voila! Done! I’ll just have to remember to bring hairspray with me next time, because the short wispy hairs at the back of my neck kept popping out from under my wig! I tried to bobbie-pin them but it didn’t work. Meh- it’s ok. I was happy with the look overall! I’m still working with a wonky lighting system… Aka the bathroom temporarily! But soon, I hope to get at least a table and mirrors set up so when I come down here, I can work on getting spot-on lighting! I’m not exactly a fan of how my skin tone kept changing with the pictures. Meh. Better luck next time I hope!

What do you think of this look?

Thank you Angela! I seriously considered popping in my purple lenses, but I wanted to stay true to the character… I just wish I had better lighting here! :D

      Thank you Olgie!
I’m digging the dark hair and bangs… But IRL, I’d never have the patience to go through and deal with styling them every morning!

      Thank you!!
I liked the idea of the first movie… But the “state of the art graphics” from the 80′s gave me a horrible migraine after only 15 minutes! Otherwise, I’d have watched it!
