It’s that time of the week again! The Facebook Group Never Too Much Sparkle is one of the few I definitely follow and interact with on a regular basis. You know how it can get- things just get busy, and bam… You only check certain things online. Well, NTMS is one of those “must checks” when I do hop on. However, since the busy time of the year is now over, I can finally get back to working on posts and sharing looks and reviews with you. The latter is coming up shortly, today I’m posting a look!
This week’s theme is Winter Sunset, and let me assure you it was no easy feat trying to figure out colors I wanted to use. Up here in the “North Country”, we get some pretty intense sunsets. They can range from your typical gray-sky fading into twilight blue, to sky-blue-pink (as my Dad likes to call it) and bright blues and purples. My favorites, of course, are the more vibrant sunsets… And I had to try and covey it in my look. I picked some colors I’ve worn before which can be otherwise bright, but toned it down with a touch of the gray I’ve mentioned which tends to creep into the sky during sunset here. So hopefully, this reminds you of sunsets in the cold months of New England. It’s really easy to soften any look with “bright” shadows by doing one simple thing… Blend!
On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction’s Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer

Moi Minerals Cosmetics in:
Bobby – Gunmetal Blue, over entire lid
Smokin’ Guns – Smoky Grey on inner and outer corners of eyes, and crease
Girl Crush – Soft Bright Pink, on inner half of eyes
Venus – Dusty Purple, on outer half of eyes, and mixed slightly with SG on outer corners; also tucked under lower lashes
Angel Eyes – Hint of Pink, brow highlight, lower lash line, and inner corner highlight
Nyx Long Kohl Eyeliner in Black on upper lid and waterline
Wet ‘n Wild MegaPlump Mascara in Black
Cheeks are MMC’s “Cheeky”, which is a bright pink blush applied sparingly
Lips are e.l.f.’s Studio Matte Lipstick in Natural
I’ll try to get a picture this week of a sunset like this, provided that:
a) It’s not blistering cold because of the Arctic air coming down from Canada is doing or
b) It’s not cloudy/snowing… Because that would deter my plans
What colors do you see in your part of the country/world at sunset in wintertime?
